David Adams, Concertmaster

david-adamsDavid Adams has gained critical acclaim as a soloist (violin), conductor, chamber and orchestral musician. His current activities include artist in residence at the University of New Brunswick Saint John, playing principal violin with the Saint John String Quartet, concert master for Symphony New Brunswick and Atlantic Sinfonia and music director for the Fredericton Chamber Orchestra.
 He has released several compact discs with the Saint John String Quartet the second of which won “Best Classical Album of the Year” at the 1996 East Coast Music Awards. David has received the New Brunswick Merit Award and in 2003 he received the Golden Jubilee Medal for his contribution to Music in New Brunswick.

Richard Hornsby, Artistic Director

richard-hornsbyRichard Hornsby is an active conductor, educator and performer on clarinet, bass clarinet, basset horn and saxophone. He has played with the Toronto Symphony, National Arts Centre Orchestra, New Music Concerts of Canada, and has recorded for CBC Radio. As an experienced chamber musician, he has toured with the Contemporary Winds Woodwind Quintet as well as the Canadian Saxophone Quintet. Richard was appointed Director of Music at the University of New Brunswick in 1992, where he now conducts various musical groups and teaches at the university level.
