The National Film Board of Canada supported some talented Canadian composers from its inception in 1939 to the middle 1970s. The music of these talented individuals is not always heard, especially the music they wrote that was not destined for a film.

The Atlantic Sinfonia is pleased to present a concert that celebrates the music of some of Canada’s early composers of music for film. These include Robert Fleming, Eldon Rathburn and Lou Applebaum. Their music is elegant, lively and descriptive whether it was music meant for a film or for the concert hall.

Tickets available online, at the door, and from the Atlantic Sinfonia staff.
